Our First FlightSim Expo: What an Incredible Experience in Providence!
This month, Hobbs Flyer had an incredible opportunity to be an exhibitor at FlightSimExpo 2025 in Providence, Rhode Island, and what an unforgettable experience it was!
We were honored to showcase our H1 Passive Aviation Headset and our H2 Active Noise-Canceling Headset with Bluetooth, and to demonstrate how real-world pilot aviation headsets like ours, used in general aviation aircraft, can significantly enhance the flight sim experience. It was exciting to show fellow pilots how one headset can seamlessly serve both simulation and real-world flying.

One of the highlights of the expo for me was speaking with the incredibly talented team at Parallel 42 about their work developing scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Their attention to detail is on a whole other level. They were showcasing their work on the Super Patriot Mark II, and the accuracy was jaw-dropping. From the paint scheme and propeller position to the smallest interior elements, like the headsets hanging from the ceiling, every detail was matched exactly to the real aircraft, which was on display at the show. Standing beside the actual Super Patriot and then seeing it rendered in the sim was surreal. It's clear that Parallel 42 doesn’t just build scenery; they recreate experiences.
From the moment the event opened, I was blown away by the energy, excitement, and overwhelming support from everyone who stopped by our booth. It was especially rewarding to meet fellow pilots and simulator enthusiasts in person, share stories, and share how Hobbs Flyer products are helping make real-world flying and sim flying more enjoyable.
This was my very first time attending FlightSimExpo, and I was amazed by the technology on display. The realism of today’s flight sims is truly breathtaking, from detailed cockpit hardware to full-motion simulators and hyper-realistic scenery. The innovations and dedication from other vendors left me inspired and excited about the future of flight simulation.

One of the best parts of the event was connecting with others in the flight sim community. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and eager to share their passion. I walked away with new friendships, new ideas, and even more appreciation for the incredible world of simulation aviation.
And here’s the best part: FlightSimExpo 2026 is happening in my hometown—Minneapolis, Minnesota! I can’t wait to welcome the flight sim community to the Twin Cities next year and do it all over again, even bigger and better.
To everyone who stopped by the Hobbs Flyer booth, thank you. Your support means the world to me. I’m beyond grateful to be a part of this amazing community.
Until next time—blue skies and smooth landings!
