Yes. This is the replacement cable for both Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth versions of the Bose A20 equipped with a 5 PIN XLR connector used in Airbus, ATR 42/72, Embraer, and some Boeing aircraft.

Yes. If your Bose A20 is the panel-powered version (originally shipped with an Airbus 5-PIN XLR or 6-PIN Lemo cable that powered your headset), then this cable will restore full functionality, including power delivery from the aircraft to power your headset's ANR and Bluetooth functions.

Will this cable convert my twin plug or helicopter Bose to XLR for use in Airbus?

You can replace the cable on your headset with this Airbus cable. However, whether your headset will receive aircraft panel power depends on which type of Bose A20 control module you have.

There are two types of Bose A20 control modules:

- Single-Power Controller: Operates only on AA batteries and cannot receive aircraft panel power.

- Dual-Power (Flex-Power) Controller: Can operate on AA batteries or receive power directly from the aircraft through the Airbus 5 PIN XLR connector.

Most Bose A20 twin plug and U174 helicopter headsets were originally sold with a Single-Power controller. If your headset has a Single-Power controller, replacing the twin plug cable with this cable will not add aircraft panel power since the controller itself was not designed to support aircraft power. In this case, the headset’s microphone, speakers, and audio functions will work normally, but the ANR system will continue to require AA batteries.

If your headset has a Dual-Power (Flex-Power) controller, replacing the existing cable with this cable will allow the headset to be powered by the aircraft.

Which Bose models is this compatible with?

This cable is compatible with all Bose A20 Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth models. It will provide audio, mic, and power. Power delivery is only available on dual-power Bose A20 headsets. Dual power (Flex-Power) headsets will accept power from batteries or the aircraft panel.
