Hobbs Flyer will overhaul your old or damaged Bose A20, Bose AHX series (X/A10), Lightspeed Zulu, or David Clark aviation headset. We charge a non-refundable fee of $160.00 plus the cost of parts. The $160 covers diagnostics and all labor required. A separate invoice will be provided for any parts used to repair your headset.

Once we receive your headset, we will perform our evaluation. After evaluating your headset, if the estimated cost for the parts needed exceeds $250.00, we will email you a detailed quotation for the necessary parts before starting the work. If the estimated cost is below $250.00, we will proceed with the repairs and bill you accordingly. An invoice will be sent once the repairs are complete.

If we are unable to repair your headset, we will refund the $160 fee and offer a 20% discount on a new Hobbs Flyer H2 Active Noise-Canceling headset or H2 Active Noise-Canceling headset with Bluetooth.

After you submit your service order, we will provide you with an order number and send you a shipping label within 24 hours of receiving your repair order.

The initial $160 diagnostic/labor fee is not refundable if you choose not to proceed with the repair. Additional details can be found [HERE].

*This purchase is for one headset only. For multiple headsets, change the cart quantity to reflect the number of headsets you will send to us for repair.

Repair Service FAQs

Is the $160 repair fee the total cost of the repair?

No. The $160 repair fee covers diagnosis, troubleshooting, labor, testing, and inbound shipping only. Replacement parts are not included and are billed separately. The total repair cost is the $160 repair fee plus the cost of any replacement parts required to complete the repair. If replacement parts are expected to exceed $250, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

What brands and models of aviation headsets do you repair?

We repair most major aviation headset brands, including Bose, Lightspeed, David Clark, and many others. Common models we service include the Bose A20, Bose X (AHX), Bose A30 (limited service), Lightspeed Zulu series, Lightspeed Thirty 3G, and David Clark H10 series. If your headset model is not listed, please contact us before placing your order, and we will let you know if we can help.

How long does aviation headset repair take?

Most repairs are completed within 5 to 10 business days after we receive your headset. Repair times may vary depending on our current workload and the availability of replacement parts. We will keep you informed throughout the repair process and notify you once your headset is ready to return.

What happens if my headset cannot be repaired?

If we determine that your headset cannot be repaired, we will refund your $160 repair fee and provide a 20% discount toward the purchase of a new Hobbs Flyer H2 Active Noise Canceling Aviation Headset. In some cases, severe physical damage, liquid damage, or unavailable replacement components may make a repair impractical or impossible.
