Can I convert my twin plug headset to a 6-pin LEMO headset using this cable?

Yes. You can replace the standard General Aviation (GA) twin plug cable with this 6-pin LEMO control module cable. However, whether your headset will receive aircraft panel power depends on which type of Bose A20 control module you have.

There are two types of Bose A20 control modules:

- Single-Power Controller: Operates only on AA batteries and cannot receive aircraft panel power.

- Dual-Power (Flex-Power) Controller: Can operate on AA batteries or receive power directly from the aircraft through the 6-pin LEMO connector.

Most Bose A20 twin plug headsets were originally sold with a Single-Power controller. If your headset has a Single-Power controller, replacing the twin plug cable with this 6-pin LEMO cable will not add aircraft panel power because the controller itself was not designed to support aircraft power. In this case, the headset’s microphone, speakers, and audio functions will work normally, but the ANR system will continue to require AA batteries.

If your headset has a Dual-Power (Flex-Power) controller, replacing the twin plug cable with this LEMO cable will allow the headset to receive aircraft panel power.
