Frequently Asked Questions

Will this adapter allow me to use my Bose A20 or Bose A30 headset in the Airbus A320?

Yes. This adapter is compatible with the Bose A20, Bose A30, Bose ProFlight, older Bose AHX headsets, and many other aviation headsets equipped with a standard 6-pin LEMO connector. It converts your LEMO headset for use in Airbus A318, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, and A350 aircraft equipped with a 5-pin XLR headset jack. Several newer Boeing aircraft have also adopted the 5-pin XLR headset connection, making this adapter compatible with those aircraft as well.

Does this adapter provide power to my headset?

Yes. If the aircraft provides power through the 5-pin XLR headset connection, this adapter will transfer that power through its 6-pin LEMO connector, allowing compatible headsets to operate without AA batteries. If the aircraft’s 5-pin XLR connection does not provide power, the headset will continue to operate using its internal batteries.

Will this adapter work in my Airbus or Embraer aircraft?

Yes. This adapter is designed for aircraft equipped with a 5-pin XLR headset jack, commonly found in Airbus and Embraer aircraft. It allows you to continue using your existing 6-pin LEMO headset without purchasing a separate XLR headset.

Can I use this adapter to convert my 5-pin XLR headset to a 6-pin LEMO headset?

No. This adapter is designed to convert a 6-pin LEMO headset to a 5-pin XLR connection. If you need to convert your 5-pin XLR headset to a 6-pin LEMO connection, you’ll need our 5-Pin XLR to 6-Pin LEMO Adapter, available here:

It converts the standard 6-pin LEMO connection to a 5-pin XLR connection, allowing your headset to be used in ATR 42/72 aircraft and other aircraft equipped with a 5-pin XLR headset jack.
