Frequently Asked Questions

Will this adapter work with a regular passive GA headset (no ANR)?

Yes. This adapter works perfectly with standard passive General Aviation (GA) twin plug headsets. It converts the headset to a 6-pin LEMO connection, allowing it to be used in Cirrus aircraft and other aircraft equipped with a 6-pin LEMO headset jack.

Will this adapter eliminate the need for batteries?

No. Standard General Aviation (GA) twin plugs do not carry aircraft power. This adapter simply converts the twin plug connection to a 6-pin LEMO connector and does not add aircraft power. If your headset normally operates on AA batteries, it will continue to require batteries when used with this adapter.

Can I use this adapter in a Robinson R44 helicopter?

Yes. If your Robinson R44 is equipped with a 6-pin LEMO headset jack, this adapter allows you to use your existing General Aviation twin plug headset without purchasing a separate helicopter headset.

Can I use this adapter with my Bose A20 or Bose A30 headset?

Yes. This adapter is compatible with Bose A20, Bose A30, and older Bose AHX headsets equipped with standard General Aviation twin plugs. It converts the headset to a 6-pin LEMO connection, allowing it to be used in Cirrus aircraft and other aircraft equipped with a 6-pin LEMO headset jack.

Is this adapter compatible with Lightspeed aviation headsets?

Yes. This adapter is compatible with Lightspeed aviation headsets equipped with standard General Aviation twin plugs, including the Zulu, Sierra, and Delta Zulu series. It converts the headset to a 6-pin LEMO connection, allowing it to be used in Cirrus aircraft and other aircraft equipped with a 6-pin LEMO headset jack.
