This adapter converts aviation headsets, such as Bose A30 and A20 with a U-384 5-pole single plug to 4-pole U-174 single plug, allowing use with standard helicopter intercoms and tactical communication systems.
It enables headsets designed with a U-384 single plug, such as those used in the Boeing P-8 Poseidon, to be used with U-174 single plug systems, including helicopter intercoms and common tactical PTT setups.
It also supports dual and multi-comm headsets, including Atlantic Signal Patriot, Comtac V, and Comtac VIII, converting 5-pole U-384 connections to the common U174 interface. This adapter is a straight-through connection and does not convert impedance.
