This cable can be used to convert an A30 headset from dual plug, U174, or Lemo to a 5 pin XLR configuration for Airbus, Embraer, and other aircraft with 5 pin XLR connectors. When used with a panel-powered A30 controller, the headset draws power directly from the aircraft, eliminating the need for batteries.

Yes. This is the replacement cable for both Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth versions of the Bose A30 equipped with a 5 PIN XLR connector used in Airbus, ATR 42/72, Embraer, and some Boeing aircraft.
Will this cable power to my headset?

Yes. If your Bose A30 is the panel-powered (flex-power) version that was originally shipped with an Airbus 5-PIN XLR or 6-PIN Lemo cable that powered your headset, then this cable will restore full functionality, including power delivery from the aircraft to power your headset's ANR and Bluetooth functions.
Will this cable convert my twin plug or helicopter Bose to XLR for use in Airbus?

Yes. You can replace the cable on your headset with this Airbus cable. However, whether your headset will receive aircraft panel power depends on which type of Bose A30 control module you have.

There are two types of Bose A30 control modules:

- Single-Power Controller: Operates only on AA batteries and cannot receive aircraft panel power.

- Dual-Power (Flex-Power) Controller: Can operate on AA batteries or receive power directly from the aircraft through the Airbus 5 PIN XLR connector.

Most Bose A30 twin plug and U174 helicopter headsets were originally sold with a Single-Power controller. If your headset has a Single-Power controller, replacing the twin plug cable with this cable will not add aircraft panel power since the controller itself was not designed to support aircraft power. In this case, the headset’s microphone, speakers, and audio functions will work normally, but the ANR system will continue to require AA batteries.
Which Bose models is this compatible with?

This cable is compatible with all Bose A30 Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth models. It will provide audio, mic, and power depending on the controller model.
