Aviation Headset Grading Definition

We carry an excellent selection of new and used aviation headsets, parts and accessories for student pilots and seasoned pilots. All of our refurbished pilot gear undergo thorough bench testing to ensure that they operate perfectly. They are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and where necessary, consumable parts such as cables, mic cover, ear cushion, and head cushion are replaced with brand new parts. Your headset will arrive ready to fly.

New headsets are brand new in box and comes all original accessories and documentation as well as factory warranty.

Grading for Used Headsets

Grade A: Mint Condition

A headset classified as mint may or may not include the original packaging and paperwork. There will be minor scuffs, signs of light usage and minor scratches on the ear cups, control module, and headband. Worn parts are replaced with Hobbs Flyer branded parts.

Grade B: Excellent Condition

Grade B headsets and accessories are in excellent overall condition. There may be some slight to moderate amount of scuffing and marks on the ear cups, control module, and headband. With a Grade B headset, there will be the typical signs of normal use. Worn parts are replaced with Hobbs Flyer branded parts.

Grade C: Good Condition

Grade C headsets and accessories have been tested thoroughly and are confirmed to be in good working condition. With these headsets you will see more noticeable signs of moderate to heavy use such scuffing, chips and scratches on the ear cups, control module, and headband. Worn parts such as cables are replaced with Hobbs Flyer branded parts.

60-day Used Gear Warranty

Some of our used headsets, parts and accessories may still be covered by the manufacturer warranty. In many cases, you may be able to register the headset under your name for warranty coverage from the manufacturer. All of our used headsets will arrive with a 60-day repair or replacement warranty from us.

We inspect and photograph the condition of each headset that we ship. If for any reason you are not happy with the cosmetic condition of the headset, part and accessory you received, please contact us with 48 hours of the confirmed UPS, USPS or FedEx delivery date to be eligible for free return shipping. After 48 hours of delivery, our standard return policy applies.
